Built in 1886, this historic Lair Hill home was slated for demolition until C.R. OGILBY & Co. stepped in and arranged an unusual rescue.  The 1,775 square foot structure was transported by truck, crane and tugboat from Lair Hill to a moorage in the Multnomah Channel, near the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area.  The  home is currently undergoing extensive eco-friendly and historically sensitive renovation including a tankless water heating system, non-toxic finishes, reclaimed architectural details, and some added features like skylights in preparation for its new life as a houseboat.

When it was built this stately 1880s Italianate was billed by a local newspaper as “one of the most artistically arranged residences in the state.”  By the 1950s the Moyer House had been divided into apartments and fallen into disrepair.  After a complete restoration by C.R. OGILBY & CO. and community volunteers, it was reborn as a Museum operated by the Linn County Historical Society. in Brownsville, Oregon.

Built in 1845, this historic farmhouse sits amid rolling Waldo Hills of  rural Turner, OR. This home was in danger of demolition until C.R.OGILBY & CO.  Spearheaded its rescue.  A new parcel was created and the house was moved just down the hill from its original location.  It is currently undergoing a 2 year restoration to prepare for its perpetual use and enjoyment by future generations.

Located near present day McLeay Park, when this 1872 farmhouse in NW Portland features large windows, high ceilings, a charming gabled roof, chamfered columns on porch pedestals and Douglas Fir floors.  After years of use as a rental property, by the 1990s the house had fallen into disrepair and was threatened by development.  Then C.R. OGILBY & CO. stepped in and provided this  historic gem a complete renovation and relocated it to its new home just blocks away from its original site.
